Clinics and Services
Adjusted Clinical Groups (ACG)
Adjusted clinical groups categorise patients into different groups based on the complexity and intensity of their healthcare needs rather than just their medical conditions. Instead of focusing solely on a diagnosis (like diabetes or heart disease) it takes in to account a broader range of health characteristics about a patient.
Carers Support
If you look after someone who is sick, disabled or elderly/frail, or who could not stay in their home if you were not there than we would class you as a carer.
It is important that carers get the support that they need and are aware of the services available to them.
Cervical Screening
Eligible patients will be contacted directly by NHS Screening Service and asked to book when this is due.
Childhood Immunisations
Following the Red Book schedule
Coil and Implant
Subject to waiting list for appointment availability.
Covid Vaccination
Get information about COVID-19 vaccination, who can get it, and safety and side effects
Dressings
Our nursing team provides regular dressing change and wound check clinics for patients with ongoing skin lesions.
Flu Vaccination
Find information about the flu jab, including who should have it, why and when
Joint Injections
Offered in-house by referral from your named GP.
Minor Illness
Where a referral to Pharmacy First Service is not appropriate, patients may be seen in one of our minor illness clinics.
Minor Skin Operations
Minor procedures such as removing skin tags, cysts, moles and warts can be performed on an ad hoc basis during a normal surgery.
You cannot book into this service directly and must be assessed for suitability and appropriateness by your usual doctor.
Ongoing Health Conditions Management
These are chronic diseases that require regular monitoring and treatment review such as diabetes, asthma, COPD, heart disease or combinations of these.
Pharmacist
Our in-house pharmacy team reviews changes in medication, liaises with pharmacies and reviews new patient medications.
Pharmacy First Referrals
If appropriate, you may be referred by the surgery to a pharmacy of your choice for treatment of any of seven minor health conditions under the Pharmacy First Scheme.
Post-Natal Checks
The 6-week post-natal checks for mum and baby are arranged by our administration team upon receipt of maternity discharge letters. One less thing for busy new mums to organise!
